German Crimping Machine Technology – BSX Series Special Crimping Machine for Large-Force Closure Applications


The BSX series is a clamping machine belonging to the plate-type, double-bevel model. The BSX series comprises three different specifications and is an ultra-high-strength, impurity-resistant model suitable for crimping rebar connectors and ultra-high-pressure hose assemblies. The locking mechanism features an eight-petal seat with a double-bevel die holder structure; as the hydraulic cylinder advances and retracts, it drives the stopper to move, which in turn pushes the die holder into motion. During manufacturing, not only digital machining processes were employed, but also high-quality alloy steel materials combined with a unique composite heat-treatment technology, thereby breaking through the dual limits of wear resistance and load-bearing capacity inherent in alloy steel after heat treatment.

Its characteristics:

(1) Since the locking mechanism of this model shares the load-bearing force between the inclined surfaces on both sides of the mold base, it generates a strong clamping force that is resistant to wear. Even if there is slight wear on the two inclined surfaces, it will not cause an increase in the taper of the clamped product. Meanwhile, thanks to the relatively longer design of the mold base for this model, it effectively compensates for the common issue of product taper formation during clamping.

(2) The four hydraulic cylinders are designed with an external configuration, making it convenient to replace the seals.

(3) In terms of crimping dimension control, the displacement control principle is employed, and an imported scale-adjusting dial is used to precisely regulate the crimping dimensions. During operation, the crimping dimensions can be directly matched to the scale values indicated on the adjusting dial, achieving a resolution accuracy of up to 0.01 mm. The electrical control section is equipped with a switch that allows users to select between manual and automatic modes, making operation more convenient and efficient. (4) The main unit features a horizontal design, and the central height of the locking mechanism is optimally suited for crimping heavy-duty or extra-long products.

(5) Particularly suitable for crimping rebar connectors, it prevents iron filings and impurities on the rebar from scratching the cylinder and causing oil leaks, thus extending its service life.
